AFGHANISTAN
Afghanistan today is the center of US and International attention in a conflict with far-reaching ramifications. The United States is investing money, lives and credibility in a country that remains difficult to comprehend for many of us. To further understanding of the complex events in this region, the Montrose Adult School International Affairs Forum is pleased to present Dr. Assem Akram, a former member of the Afghan diplomatic corps and current lecturer at American University’s School of International Service on “Afghanistan: Conflict and Society.” Dr. Akram has a Ph.D in history from the Sorbonne, has authored books on Afghan history as well as two works of fiction, and is a recognized authority on Afghan history and current affairs. Please join us on April 24 at 7 p.m. at the Montrose High School.
'You can either register for this class in advance by mailing in your registration form with the accompanying payment of $10.00 or pay at the door on April 24th.'
