This class is for acrylic and watercolor painters.  Please bring your own supplies and Maggie will provide assistance in the completion of your artwork.  There will also be a shared critique.  Class limit, 10 students.

No art experience is necessary for this class. Discover the world of Zentangle Art with a Certified Zentangle Instructor. Create beautiful and surprising art with structured patterns called tangles. Zentangle is a drawing method that inspires creativity; it is relaxing and fun and the results are unplanned and rewarding – reminding us that “Anything is possible…..One stroke at a time.”  Class limit, 8 students.

103  The Song Goes On  Jean Grube, Voice Instructor for 30 Years

This is a class to follow “Voice Class” from 2018. It is a class to learn skills in singing, whether you sing in the privacy of your own home or if you sing in public. Students will gain confidence in producing their singing sound. The class will focus on breathing, resonance, singing on pitch, some music theory, and singing with expression. The song will go on as we develop and practice singing skills. New class members are welcome. Classes will last 1 hour and 15 minutes per class. If you wish, you can prepare a favorite song of your own to sing in class for coaching, or just come to class to listen and enjoy.

We will begin drawing dogs and puppies at the first two classes followed by two classes drawing cats and kittens.  If you have a picture of your pet bring it to class.  Supplies needed for the class: Sketch pad, pencil, ruler, extra fine point marker (Sharpie).  Class limit 12 students.

We will design, setup, and draw several Still Life’s.  We will be studying value, shadowing and light reflection.   Supplies Pad paper 90 lb., pencil, ruler, extra fine point marker (Sharpie). Class limit 12 students.

We will be painting a still life and learning to apply different techniques to get the look of wood-grain, metal and glass.   Supplies needed:  Watercolor pad 140 lb., brushes, acrylic paints, metallic paints (supplied) ruler. Class limit 10 students.

108 Watercolor Painting Workshop     Cindy Reynolds, teacher and painter  This class is full

This is a class for watercolor painters at all levels whether you are a beginner or a seasoned painter.  Cindy is back and will present drawing and watercolor techniques in a workshop type atmosphere and will provide individual assistance as needed.  Up to 15 individuals will receive instruction as needed and will have time to work on their own paintings with subjects of their own choice.  There will be a group critique and share time at the end of each session.  Class limit 15 students.

109 Homemade Greeting Cards    Louise Dayton, teacher and card marker

In this class you will learn to make homemade greeting cards using stamps.  You will work according to your knowledge of card making learning how to ink stamps and put it on card stock and color in images.  We will start with cards with one or two stamps and coloring and move to the embossing folder, dies and layering of products.  When you are finished you will have a complete card with a greeting ready to mail. You will also be able to stamp on the inside of the card. This class is for experienced and beginner card makers. We will make 3 cards per week.  Class limit 10 students.

110 Quilt Finishing Techniques, Instructor, Barb Merritt, Quilter This class is full

You have finally finished that quilt top, but it isn’t really a quilt until all 3 layers have been quilted and bound.  In this class we will focus on a variety of options for selecting batting, machine quilting, edge finishing techniques including scalloped edges, piping, prairie points and binding.  A supply list will be provided prior to class. Class limit 10 students

You have seen them on barns, houses and garages around the county, now you can make your own.  All materials will be supplied to paint a 2-foot square plywood quilt block of your choice. Class limit,6 students. Directions will be sent prior to the class.

Transferring the patterns of nature into art! The vibrant colors of leaves and flowers are easy to preserve by pounding them to release their natural dyes onto paper or fabric. Using flowers and leaves to color fibers has been done for thousands of years. Until the mid-1800’s natural dyes were the only option available. Learn this fun and simple technique. You can make beautiful botanical cards, prints, T-shirts and enjoy spring greenery year-round. Learn about leaf and flower structures as you create your master piece! We will be working with fabric which you can take home and use in a variety of ways such as pillows or framing as a picture. Please include a material fee of $5.00 for each project you wish to create along with the class registration fee. You can even bring your own flowers and experiment!

A Pysanky is a Ukrainian Easter Egg.  You will be decorating raw white eggs using beeswax and dyes, then removing the wax which will reveal the designs. All tools, dyes, and eggs will be provided. Class limit, 20.
