101 Introduction to Quilting Instructor Sandra DeLousia
This class will cover the essential items required to begin quilting. It includes basic instructions on working with fabric and sewing machines. Participants should bring their own sewing machines; the class will review ¼ inch seams and provide opportunities for practice. The session is focused on building foundational skills for quilting rather than completing a finished project.

102 Make a Quilted Tote Bag Instructor Sandra DeLousia
Join me in making a quilted tote bag measuring 16”x18 1/2”x4” with zippered pockets. This is a beginner friendly pattern. Material fee includes batting and decorative zippers. You will need 3 one-yard pieces of fabric for the outside of the bag, inside of the bag and handles. Bring a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. Please wash and dry the fabric before class.

103 Watercolor Journal Class, Instructor Jean Ely Grube
Watercolor Journal class has been well received by participants. Each class will begin with an introductory lesson with examples. Students will paint in their own journals for the remainder of the class. Beginner students are welcome and will explore watercolor techniques while gaining confidence as painters. Experienced painters will explore some new and old painting techniques and have freedom to personalize their own pages.
A ring-bound journal is recommended. Students may purchase a journal from the instructor.
Please indicate on the registration form if you will be purchasing a journal from the instructor.

104 Quilt As You Go Instructor Jayne Stoll
Learn not one, but two techniques to help you start and finish a quilted piece. Using the “Quilt-As-You-Go” method, you will make 4 quilt blocks, sew them together and leave with a completed project. A sewing machine and basic sewing equipment are required. The class limit is 8 students. A supply and equipment list will be provided after registration

105 Learn to Knit Instructor Bruce Baessler
You will learn the basic steps of knitting from beginning to end. Learn to cast on, the two basic stitches of knit and purl, and how to bind off or take the completed work off the needles. By the end of the class, you will have mastered the basic skills of knitting. You will be able to complete a scarf to wear and show off. Knitting needles and yarn will be provided.

107 Sew a Knit Top Instructor Cindy Goodman
We will learn about knit fabric while constructing a top. Basic knowledge of a sewing machine is required but you do not need to know how to sew. Machines are available. We will learn about online sites to purchase patterns and materials. You will acquire the skill base to construct tops and leave the class with a finished top you made! The class limit is 5 students.
Five sessions, The First session is Thursday September 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Remaining sessions will be decided on at the first class.

Sewing Machine Skills – Sewing a Small Bag
This class will focus on sewing skills. Students will make a cell phone bag with a plastic pocket and a zipper pocket. The skills covered will be:
1. Using specialty feet – zipper foot and buttonholer
2. Sewing sticky materials (plastic)
3. Lining and turning a bag.
4. Sewing straps and handles and handle tabs
The instructor will provide kits for the bag as part of the materials fee.
Students should bring a sewing machine with zipper foot and buttonhole foot, an extension cord, scissors for cutting cloth.
Students should have basic sewing machine skills at the level of the introductory sewing machine maintenance. The class limit is 6 students.

Explore what stitches your machine has and how you can use them in your sewing. We will use these stitches to enhance a pieced pumpkin square making a hot pad for fall. Material fee includes the pumpkin square, background fabric, insul bright batting and binding fabric . The class limit is 10 students.

Bring those unfinished projects from other classes or that you started and never finished. Bring patterns and the project and get some help in finishing them. The project could be fabric, knitting or crocheting or any other project and I will help you finish it. Bring what you need to finish your project.
