401   Make Baking Powder Biscuits,   Instructor Louise Dayton

Each person will learn to make their own batch of biscuits. Each batch will make 8 – 10 biscuits, depending on the size of the biscuit cutter.  All ingredients will be provided for the recipe.  You will need to bring a medium-sized mixing bowl, 2 forks, a biscuit cutter if you have one, and a small cookie sheet.  The class is limited to 8 students.

402 A Taste of Asia    Instructor Howard Burkett

You asked, we are providing it again!  Simple Asian dishes are getting more requests.  Join Howard for an updated class with lots of recipes and hands-on preparation and dining.  Our menu will include Honey Walnut shrimp, Crispy Orange Chicken,  Asian Glazed Beef Short Ribs, Dumpling Soup, Pork Fried Rice and Pork Egg Rolls.  It is a hands-on class, and at the end we will eat, and send you home with leftovers. (Bring at least two small containers with you.) This class is limited to 10 students.  . Directions and more details will be emailed to you prior to the class.

Eggplant seems to be one of those vegetables of which people just aren’t sure…so what can I do with this eggplant?

Come learn how to bake (instead of fry) eggplant for many uses like eggplant parm, moussaka, chips for dipping, caponata…

We will prepare the eggplant for several dishes and enjoy our progress… The class limit is 7 students.

404 Do you Know the Muffin Man?   Instructor Howard Burkett

Remember that old childhood song?  You won’t have to sing in class, but we will be making several types of Muffins, Scones and Bagels We will also demonstrate how to make cream cheese to spread onthemIt is a hands-on class , and at the end you will take home a few of what we make. The  planned menu includes  Pineapple/Coconut Bagels, Vanilla Bean Scones, Chocolate Sourdough Muffins and Blueberry Muffins.  I’ll have lots of coffee available to go with them, as we cover how to roast your own coffee beans!  The class limit is 10 students.

Arancini is an Italian classic.
Risotto stuffed balls with beef, mozzarella and peas. Deep-fried to perfection and served with a very fine red sauce for dipping. The class limit is 7 students.

406 Let’s Celebrate Cinco De  Mayo      Instructor Cott DeMaree

All classes are a collective group effort.. and always successful because of our multi-talented students.   Albondigas soup to start.. tomato based soup with fresh vegetables, rice and beef meatballs.
Taquitoes… flour tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken, green chilies. Cheese rolled up and baked to perfection. Arroz con Lethe, Mexican rice pudding.   The class limit is 7 students.
